As of January 5, 2015 Amanda started her career as a Professional Dog Groomer at The Rochester Institute of Dog Grooming. On April 23, 2015 she received her certification and became a Certified Professional Groomer. Amanda is also certified in Pet First Aid. Earning a certification in grooming has always been very important to her. Why have your pet groomed by a CPG? Rochester Institute of Dog Grooming is a very well-known school with state licensed directors and instructors who have been in the business for many of years and truly have a love for dog grooming. 450 hours must be completed for one to become a CPG on a strict Monday- Friday (8:45 AM - 3:30 PM) schedule. Also, a total of 5 practical tests and a 200 question written exam must be passed. Growing up, she has always had an extreme love and passion for animals. Amanda has always known that she wanted to work with them. In the past, she has worked for a rescue group as a Kennel Attendant. Not long after she was offered the job and being around animals daily, Amanda decided that she wanted to further her career with animals and become a Professional Dog Groomer. She absolutely loves what she does, and treats every dog as if they were her own. She has a very big heart, and has a ton of experience with both cats and dogs. Amanda is a true animal lover and cannot picture herself doing anything else. On May 4, 2015, Amanda opened, "Barking Beauties Pet Grooming By Amanda". Barking Beauties was formally located at 4658 Ridge Road West (inside of "CountryMax"), Spencerport, New York 14599. After a year, Amanda opened her grooming salon, "Barking Beauties Dog Grooming Salon" located at 1252 Latta Road Rochester, NY 14612. Amanda strives to make dogs comfortable during their grooming appointments. At Barking Beauties you pet endures a one one one, private grooming experience. This not only provides your dog(s) with a stress-free experience, but a very comfortable and safe one as well. One only dog is groomed from start to finish. Amanda uses nothing but professional grade drying equipment, products, and shears during every single appointment.
