Barkley Circle Dentistry for Children

At Barkley Circle Dentistry for Children, we strive to provide superior care in a comfortable environment. We understand that every child is a unique individual, and it is our goal to make each dental experience pleasant and comfortable.

Barkley Circle Dentistry for Children began as the practice of Dr. Roy V. Green in 1975 in a small office on Hill Avenue. Ft. Myers was a sleepy little gulf coast town, but throughout the next 25 years experienced abundant growth. In January of 1987, the office had been outgrown many times over, and it was time to find new quarters on Barkley Circle, and the office we still occupy today was built.

Dr. Gregory Hill practiced general dentistry in Ft. Myers before returning to specialty school. Upon his return to Ft. Myers, he was interested in forming a group practice with Dr. Green. He was welcomed with open arms, and the practice continued to grow. And continue to grow we did, which lead to a search for a new dental associate. In 2005 we hit the jackpot and won not one but two! Two ladies were interested, and Dr. Green and Dr. Hill were so impressed with them both that there was no alternative but to hire them both!!

Dr. Anissa Ahmadi is a native of Ft. Myers, having graduated from N. Ft. Myers High School as valedictorian of her class.

Dr. Hope McDowell could not resist the lure of the warmer climate, being a native of Pennsylvania.

Our doctors believe in giving back to the community, and as such are providers for the Children’s Medical Service and the Head Start program of Lee County. Drs. Ahmadi and McDowell are also involved with the Cleft Lip and Palate Team at Health Park Hospital, providing their expertise for children with special needs.

Our practice actively supports many of the schools with their fundraisers and advertising, as well as many local children’s sports teams in the same manner.

Dr. McDowell and Dr. Ahmadi are on staff at Lee Memorial Health System. This enables them to provide care for medically compromised children, and those who are not able to be treated in the normal dental office setting. Drs. Ahmadi and McDowell are also courtesy clinical associate professors for the University of Florida Naples Pediatric Residency Program.
