Barry Christian Church

Barry Christian Church was formed as a part of the original Barry settlement on the Missouri frontier in 1840, on what had been just a few years before the very western edge of the state. It's hard to imagine now, but back then the land directly across the property line to the west had been Indian territory. Today, still on the original property, our church finds itself along the busy four-lane Barry Road, a major thoroughfare in the Northland of Kansas City, Mo. Large apartment and retail areas dot the landscape, and U.S. 169 and Mo. 152 highways are nearby.
