Baylor College of Medicine Department of Surgery

The Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine owns one of the great legacies in surgery. The outstanding surgeons and faculty of the Department—more than one hundred eighty in all—remain dedicated to advancing that legacy in the arenas of patient care, biomedical research, and medical education. We practice at iconic institutions across the campus of the Texas Medical Center (TMC), the largest health science center in the world, including Texas Children’s Hospital, the Texas Heart Institute, St. Luke’s Medical Center, Ben Taub Hospital, Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, and at affiliated institutions throughout the Houston community and beyond.
