Women’s and Gender Studies are the interdisciplinary studies of the human experience that places gender and women at the center of scholarly inquiry.

Women’s and Gender Studies prepare students to live and work in an increasingly diverse culture, and students educated in the critical theories and methods of this discipline possess highly marketable skills for both the workplace as well as institutions for higher education.
Women’s and Gender Studies complements majors in ways that make students highly competitive in their future endeavors. This minor is excellent for students entering occupations in business, education, health care, media, marketing, politics, law, ministry, and social services.
