Bayside Park Farm

The Bayside Park Farm, formerly the Arcata Educational Farm, is a three acre vegetable farm located in the City of Arcata’s Bayside Park. The Farm provides for the community by working towards these goals:

1. Develop and generate fledgling farmers
2. Provide education about organic and sustainable agriculture to our community
3. To be a model of Community Supported Agriculture

The primary purpose of the Bayside Park Farm is to develop greenhorn farmers by providing a space for the development of practical skill sets dealing with organic and sustainable agriculture. Since its inception, the farm has been operated by generations of blossoming farmers- many who have started their own farms locally and beyond.

It also provides the community with local, organically grown vegetable through an alternative agriculture model called Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). Community Supported Agriculture is an alternative model of agriculture that is growing in popularity for consumers and farmers.

CSA subscribers, or shareholders, pledge financial support to the farm in the spring understanding that they will be apart of the risk and rewards of the growing season. "Subscribing" to the farm buys you a season's worth (typically 20 weeks) of farm fresh food that is to be picked up weekly at the farm!

The farm was the first model of Community Supported Agriculture in Arcata and has been providing our community with local organic produce for nearly 20 years.
