Beam Brothers Trucking

In 1983, two brothers, Gerald and Garland Beam, started a partnership, originally called Beam Bros. In 1990, Beam Bros. Trucking was incorporated, with the majority of the business hauling boxes for a local packaging facility and hay and feed for Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus.

The company employs around 600 people and operates in 21 states.

Today, 99 percent of the service that Beam Bros. Trucking Inc. provides is hauling mail for the United States Postal Service. The company focuses on mostly long-haul trucking from one major city to another and does run some shorter inter-city trips. In addition to the work for the USPS, Beam Bros. hauls various specialty items for several local businesses.

Beam Bros. Trucking employs professional drivers, mechanics, farm workers, office and administrative staff. Drivers are required to have a commercial driver’s license, an approved physician’s physical, pass an FBI background check performed by the United States Inspection Service, and undergo extensive pre-employment testing.

Beam Bros. is a four time recipient of the United States Postal Service’s Eagle Spirit Award, the mail contracting industry’s highest accolade. The award is given annually to contractors who consistently demonstrate the quality, dedication, leadership, and spirit embodied by the image of the American Eagle.
