Bear Haven Cabin

BHCabins presents Bear Haven located in the exclusive High Timber Ranch neighborhood of Upper Moonridge. This mountain home sits on a large flat corner lot in a very quiet residential area (very little traffic) nestled in the pine and oak trees. Guests have commented that staying at Bear Haven is like staying in a tree house (elevation is over 7200’) with the main floor on the second story, the views are above the tree tops and extend out over Big Bear valley below. Feeling secluded does not mean you are far from the activities you want to enjoy, Bear Mountain Ski slopes, Golf, Big Bear Alpine Animal zoo, hiking/biking trails are just a short drive away. Less than a 10 minute drive to shopping, dining, nightlife, boating, swimming, fishing and much more!

Your vacation begins as you open the door to the Great Room with large wood burning fireplace, beautiful wood floors, soaring vaulted ceiling and expansive windows with views and lots of light to keep the space bright and inviting. The spacious kitchen and dining area are contained in the Great room so the chef(s) never have to feel alone. Guests can gather around the large granite breakfast counter to sip some wine, a hot cup of coffee, or lend a hand to the chefs while everyone joins in the conversations. The kitchen has recently been updated and is fully stocked with all the tools to make a great meal. Bear Haven even boasts a coffee & tea bar complete with all the fixings so you never have to rush out your first morning to get your cup of “wakeup”. With dining seating for 8 people everyone is sure to be comfortable to enjoy an amazing mountain meal. Those not on kitchen duty can sink into the comfortable couches or recliner, put their feet up and stretch out in front of a roaring fire, take in a movie, sporting even or favoriteTV show on a 55” UHD SmartTV (Amazon Prime, Netflix, HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, and much more). There is WiFi throughout the cabin to keep you connected.

Step outside onto one of Bear Haven’s 3 decks to soak up the sun, sit in the shade, barbecue, all while you enjoy a lovely beverage and mountain views. The rear deck off the kitchen is perfect for your morning coffee with a splash of sunshine, while the front decks afford you the view of the valley and northern mountains. The large flat backyard is a wonderful place for the kids to safely play, make snowmen, or have a good old fashioned snowball fight.

Bear Haven is an upscale, immaculately maintained mountain home that can cater to any taste. it is two stories with 1700 sq. feet of mountain comfort for you and your guests to enjoy. Your comfort is very important to us at Bear Haven so each of the 3 bedrooms has an upgraded queen mattress and 100% organic cotton fabric pillows. The master bedroom sits on the main level and the two downstairs bedrooms have large windows to allow in ample natural light during the day. The great room boasts two ceiling fans for those rare warm days and a central forced air heater for cold winter nights. A smart thermostat allows us to warm the cabin prior to your arrival.

There are two full bathrooms, one on each floor. The best bathroom feature are the dual water heaters, one for each floor! This virtually eliminates guests ever having to wait to shower due to a lack of hot water. Bear Haven is meticulously cleaned and prepared for each guest with fresh laundered bed sheets and plenty of bath linens. There is parking in the driveway for three cars and during the winter we do our best to make the garage available for additional protected parking (ask about availability). Your enjoyment and comfort are always our number one goal!
