Bear Spot Farm and Foundation

Bear Spot Farm was established in the early 90's in Concord, MA by Jane Karol. The unique name comes from her two dogs, Bear and Spot, who had been with her for some time, though sadly have now passed. In the last 18 years, the farm has grown from a one barn establishment to a multiple-building, top quality boarding and training facility.


Bear Spot Foundation offers a unique combination of traditional psychotherapy with dressage riding and horse care. The Foundation's programs have successfully addressed the needs of clients with affective disorders (like depression), ADD/ADHD, anorexia, bulimia and concerns related to low self-esteem, separation and loss and anxiety and phobias. A 501(c) non-profit organization, we rely on donor funds to provide low-cost or no-cost therapy to children in need and to support the needs of our rescue horses.
