Chinese comfort food with a bit of Korean Influence.

This is a family run establishment specializing in Northern Chinese cuisine with Korean influence.

A little history:
My mother's family is originally from Yantai and father's family is from Qingdao; both beautiful seaside cities in Northern China's Shandong province. Their parents (my grandparents) immigrated to South Korea in the 1950s during the Japanese occupancy of China. Mom & Dad were born and raised in South Korea. They immigrated to San Jose, CA in 1983 (the year of my birth).

Past:
My father was chef/owner of various Chinese restaurants in the San Francisco Bay area for as long as I can remember. His first business venture with a partner was The Dynasty Chinese Restaurant from 1987 - 1992 in Tiburon, CA. In 1993, Dad decided it was time to run his own business: Mandarin Flower in Moraga, CA. Mom quit her day job at a café in downtown San Francisco to join Dad fulltime. Once the lease was up in 2003, Mom & Dad acquired Sun Mei Restaurant in Walnut Creek, CA from 2003-2012.

In January 2013, Mom, Dad and I kissed Northern California goodbye and packed our bags for Orange County, CA. After eight months of searching for the right location to plant our roots, we opened the doors to Beijing Wok & Grill on October 1, 2013 in Fountain Valley, CA.

Present:
Beijing Wok & Grill is not like your typical Chinese-American restaurant. We take pride in producing Chinese comfort food. Our noodle and dumplings dishes are made entirely from scratch from recipes passed down from my grandmothers, their grandmothers, and so on. We have a variety of delicious dishes to satisfy every palate: from Grilled chicken teriyaki, to Bulgogi beef, to Tonkatsu, to Broccoli beef, etc.

Future:
We hope to continue to offer excellent food & service and memorable dining experiences to our customers in Orange County.
