This nice little Hole-in-the-Wall is just outside of Downtown Modesto and at the beginning of Yosemite Blvd..and during lunchtime, I felt fairly safe in their parking lot and in the restaurant. It sure helps, that the nice owners look like they could really kick ass, if they needed too!

Well based on positive Yelps, I decided to give it a shot. I went in after the lunch crowd was gone and the owner helped me immediately. I decided to order my "Gold Standard" Gyro sandwich and a mixed appetizer/salad plate. The owner actually was nice enough to caution me, that it might be too much food! He was right!

While waiting for the Gyro to arrive, I munched on the generous salad and slathered warmed Pita bread pieces with humus and the other dip. It was fresh, savory, and refreshing!

Then the simply overstuffed Giga-Gyro arrived! My eyes simply boggled at the sight of this Gyro. It was filled with tons of Gyro meat, fresh tomatos, lettuce, onions, and lots of what I now know, to be termed TZATZIKI sauce!

TZATZIKI sauce most commonly consists of a pureed mix of greek yogurt, cucumber (without seeds), lemon juice, garlic, black pepper, and FRESH DILL! I love fresh dill! My Slovak mom used to make a simple Eastern European dish with sliced cucumbers, sour cream, and dill, that I even got my Asian wife to like, years later. No wonder I go bananas over Great Gyros!....
