More about Beit Yashua of DFW

The Family unit is of utmost importance to our mission of restoration. As we grow, we will continue to see ways that we might strengthen all areas of the biblical family, and it is our desire to see married couples strengthened, singles encouraged, as well as the widow and the “left out and left behind” find a place within our community.

The continual focus of our ministry is to start from the inside and work out. This means that each member should have the goal of personal growth and restoration first, family second, community third, and finally that of greater Israel and then the world. This commitment is not linear, but circular, as we are all parts of a whole. Each of us, and each of the bodies we make up, are a part of Yah’s plan for end time redemption and restoration.

Scripture study: As Bible students, the emphasis for circular learning is reinforced by putting in place the annual Torah portion reading schedule. This schedule is a personal responsibility for each student.Torah/scripture review starts on an individual level and progresses to the community level. Though we often teach and review the weekly portions during Shabbat service, we also leave room for the Ruach to move and may address other matters placed on our heart through special teachings as well as guest speakers. Regardless of what is taught on Shabbat during service however, you are expected to be studying the weekly Torah portions at home, individually and with your family.
Ephraim and Judah

We believe that both houses of Israel: Ephraim-(The Northern Kingdom, which consisted of the ten Northern tribes) and Judah- (The Southern Kingdom, which consisted mostly of Judah & Benjamin) were scattered many years ago as it says in 1 Kings 11, due to disobedience as prophesied in Deuteronomy 28, but that they are now being re-gathered according to the word of YHWH in Ezekiel 37. Our community is an equipping and maturing camp for the dispersed of the whole house of Israel. We will focus on ALL of the biblical record as well as history, archaeology and scholarship concerning the promises that were made to our forefathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Our goal is to identify and assist every single person in the community in developing in their spiritual gifts (Five Fold ministry), and allow them to reach maturity in their Yah given abilities.

Holy Days vs. Holidays

We will honor the Holy Days as laid out in scripture to the very best of our ability. We acknowledge that there are differences of opinion regarding the biblical calendar, but as a people in exile, we will follow the traditional Jewish (Hillel) calendar so that we are in harmony with greater Israel. We know that when our Messiah returns, he will resolve the calendar issue, but until that time, we will continue to practice all of the Moedim (Appointed times) with great love, zeal and anticipation of his return.

Deliverance

Once of the keys to walking in restoration and desiring to be that stick of Ephraim and Judah that will be in our Fathers Hand, is our ability to walk in spiritual vitality. Our community will focus on ministering the spiritual roots teachings as a foundational principle for restoration. This undergirds our desire to become that “One New Man” that Abba is making. These teachings will be woven into our yearly program and all serious students are encouraged to attend.

Right living

As believers in Yashua, that also seek to do Yah’s commandments (John 14:15, Rev 12:17, 14:12 22:14), we are filled with the Holy Spirit (Ruach Ha Kodesh) and full of the living word (Yashua). We are committed to having a group that has biblical integrity. This means that we will always seek to give Caesar was is due Caesar and Give unto YAH what is YAH’s. Our desire is to be that “true stick” and that “unspotted bride” that YAH describes in His word. We will not take for granted the atoned blood of our Master Yashua by privately or openly disobeying the laws of the land. As believers in Messiah Yashua we know that we will be tried and tested, but we know that we should make sure that our trials are for HIS name sake and not our own.

These are our goals for the community.

May we all strive to do our best to go forth in HIM.
