Bekah's Bumblebees Childcare

I am 38 years old and have been married to my husband Jason for 16 years. We have 2 beautiful daughters together. My oldest daughter, Jaden, is 13 years old and enjoys playing outside, doing arts and crafts and is a member of the Riptide Swim Club in Apple Valley. She just finished her 2nd year swimming with the Prior Lake High School Swim Team this past fall (2015). As a 7th grader she achieved (5) High School Letter times and was chosen as Rookie of the Year by the team. We are VERY proud of her and all she’s accomplished. She is in 8th grade and loves everything associated with school, especially anything to do with arts, crafts and baking. My youngest daughter, Charlotte, is 6 years old and has blossomed into quite the explorer. She just started 1st grade and loves school very much. She also enjoys playing with her friends, learning and playing outside. She is VERY excited to learn how to read level ‘E’ books and to ‘do math’ this school year. She also enjoys spending hours and hours playing outside, going for walks and coloring. She also enjoys pretending she is a baker, a chef, a doctor and a princess … or all of the above at the same time – she has a very silly personality and is head strong but overall she is a carefree 6 year old. Both of my girls are one of the main reasons why I decided to open Bekah’s Bumblebees. I enjoy taking care of them and teaching them about the world and all there is to explore. I was given the amazing opportunity to stay at home with Charlotte when she was just 6 months old and I have truly cherished all the moments and memories we have made together. I am proud to be the one to teach my children how exciting life is going to be, right from wrong, manners, how to be a good friend and their basic learning skills. I look forward to doing the same for each and every child I have the privilege of taking care of.

I grew up in Upstate New York and have a large family. I moved to Minnesota after I graduated from college in 1998. I have a Civil Engineering background and spent most of my adult life in that field of work. Basically I sat at a computer all day and designed parking lots, building layouts, road layouts, pond design etc. It was a fun job but far from rewarding. I worked on a lot of great projects but nothing held my attention and my heart like taking care of my children and my family. Every day since has seemed like a New Adventure … Here’s to the next adventure!
