BELLA BAMBOO BEACH HOUSE in Telchac Puerto on the north coast of the Yucatán Peninsula is right on the water. It is owned by Marsha Gentry of Many, LA and available to rent. Stay and experience different things, mix with the locals and do as they do. You can enjoy the water, quiet and privacy of your beach house or visit a modern city with every amenity about an hour’s drive away.

At Bella Bamboo you’ll find beautiful water and beachfront right outside your door to sun and enjoy water activities. Use a local fishing pier, see a beautiful flamingo colony nearby, visit the ancient Mayan ruins of Xcambo and exotic Cenotes where you can explore and swim in underground rivers, bird watch, bike ride, enjoy home-style cooking in town, sink your toes in the sand and read a great book or take lazy siestas to your heart’s content.

The cruise ship port of Progreso is only about a half-hour west. Also nearby is the town of Motul. Both places offer shopping, restaurants, banks and other amenities. About an hour southwest is the Yucatán capitol of Mérida, a beautiful, historical and major city of almost 800,000 people with attractions, shopping, theaters, museums, amenities and restaurants galore. The two main Mérida malls rival the best gallerias of Dallas and Houston.

Numerous Mayan ruins are within driving distance, including one of the largest and best preserved anywhere – Chichén Itzá. The Yucatán resort cities of Cancun and Playa del Carmen are a few hours drive east.

Bella Bamboo’s beachfront is practically abandoned most of the year except for occasional Canadian or U.S. visitors. The pace picks up some during summer months and especially at Easter, when the Yucatecans from Meridá come to their Telchac beach houses to escape the rush of the city.

The view is beautiful and if you are into private, natural beaches, fresh breezes, amazing sea shells, awesome sunsets and stars, then this rental is for you! At Bella Bamboo, you can tan on the beach and play in the water, pop into town for some fried fish when you want, and siesta with the best.
