What is Upward?

Upward promotes character and fun for every child by:

- providing an evaluation system that promotes equal and competitive teams.girls and boys are on separate teams.
- establishing a one-hour practice and game each week
- implementing a substitution system for each team, allowing every child equal playing time
-creating the opportunity for every child to learn and improve their skills in the sport.

Participating in Upward will give your child a chance to experience good sportsmanship on and off the court. Your child will also receive a special recognition award after every game and will have the opportunity to develop new friendships.

The Bellevue Owensboro Upward Sports Facebook Page is a fun, family-friendly community where we encourage adults ages 16 and up to share their Upward Sports experience and interact with other Upward Sports Fans. Some questions or comments may be better addressed by your local league director, in which case we may forward them your question or comment.

Should your child or children have participated in any Upward Sports programming, you should have signed a release of liability that included the following statement, "This Release of Liability shall be binding on me, my family, heirs, next of kin, legal representatives, beneficiaries, successors and assigns I hereby authorize the Church and UU to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and to license others to use, reproduce, distribute, and display, my child’s image, and photograph, as well as any video, digital, or audio recording or reproduction, in connection with external and internal communications of the Church and UU for the sole purpose of advancing UU programs." Please note that any images or videos posted on this Facebook Page may be used to promote Upward Sports via upward.org or other mediums associated with Upward Sports.
