Bellows-Brown church of Christ

The Bellows-Brown Church of Christ is owned and operated by Jesus Christ and strives to be no more or less than what He founded it to be. It is the desire of the congregation to have you feel as welcome as possible when you visit, so we want to share some information about ourselves in hopes that you will be comfortable with us. The church that assembles on the corner of Bellows and Brown Street in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan is composed of those, young and old, who have dedicated their lives to following Christ. It is our goal of Heaven and love for souls that compels us to obey the Word of God in reaching out to those of the world. The church of Christ is owned and operated by Jesus Christ and we, as His followers, wear only His name (Acts 11:26). As Christians we gladly serve our Savior humbly and strive to give Him the best that we can in all that we do. We are a congregation of the Lord's people who are New Testament Christians and New Testament Christians only (Ephesians 4:4-6). The Bible is our only rule in faith and in practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Colossians 3:17) We love God, His word, His church, and all of mankind. Our aim is to glorify Him (Matthew 5:16; Ephesians 3:21) and to work toward spiritual growth of everyone through His word as we follow after the example of Christ (2 Peter 3:18).

If you are seeking to grow closer to Christ, we want to do everything we can to encourage you to do His will because this is exactly what we seek to do (Matthew 7:21). In doing His will, there are a number of things to do for all people of all ages. When you visit us we will do out best to welcome you, but please realize that our goal in assembling is to honor and praise our audience - GOD! We will in no way ignore you, but our purpose in meeting together is not to entertain or put all the focus on you or each other. You will find that our worship is based on God's design according to what He has revealed in the New Testament. We will be singing songs of praise a cappella (Ephesians 5:19), praying to God the Father (Acts 2:42), studying the Bible (Acts 20:7), observing the Lord's supper (I Corinthians 11:23-26), and taking up a collection from our members for the work of the church (I Corinthians 16:1-2).

We invite you to come and worship with us, yet we do not want you to feel compelled to participate in anything that you may not understand or agree with. We will be more than glad to study with you to show you why we do the things that we do and why we might be different that what you might expect. We meet for Bible class each Sunday from 10-10:45am and our morning worship starts at 11:00am. We meet again in the afternoon at 2:00pm for worship. Our mid-week Bible class is Wednesay night at 7:00pm. We would love to meet you and any of your friends and family. We have classes for all ages being taught by men and women of God.
