Bergen County Horse Rescue at Mahrapo Farms

Bergen County Horse Rescue's mission is to rescue and rehabilitate horses in need. Our beautiful facility provides a healthy environment for the mind, body, and soul of each horse, allowing them a second chance to heal. For those horses that are suit fit, we provide reconditioning and behavioral training in the hopes of finding them a forever home where they can have a loving job again. For horses that are no longer capable of working due to a disability or just old age, our facility provides a sanctuary. All horses that are not adopted out will always have a comfortable home at Bergen County Horse Rescue. We aim to spread awareness and encourage humanity in our community and beyond. Bergen County Horse Rescue's work will always be dedicated to our original rescue horses that started us on our path.
