Berkshire Theatre Group

Berkshire Theatre Group is one of the largest and most exciting arts organizations in Berkshire County. Created by the merger of two of the oldest Berkshire County establishments, Berkshire Theatre Festival in Stockbridge and The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield, it presents the finest in theatre, music and the performing arts. Berkshire Theatre Festival was founded in 1928 and The Colonial Theatre opened in 1903.

Berkshire Theatre Group operates five stages: The 400-seat Fitzpatrick Main Stage, 122-seat Unicorn Theatre and the outdoor Neil Ellenoff Stage on the Berkshire Theatre Festival campus in Stockbridge, and the 800-seat Colonial Theatre and The Garage performance space in Pittsfield. Our complex of buildings and grounds in the Berkshires represent sites catalogued on the National Historic Registry.

Serving over 100,000 patrons each season and 17,000 students with its wide range of education programs, Berkshire Theatre Group brings the best of the arts to the residents of Berkshire County and beyond year-round.
