Bethel Tabernacle Worship Center

Pastor Bent shared his vision to build a church with the small group that he started with. In 1984, our small congregation took a great step of faith and purchased a church and adjoining duplex at 4778 W. Hopkins Street in Milwaukee, WI. God continued to greatly bless us, and the congregation and ministries continued to grow. A church was planted where we could begin carrying out God's command to us, as in Matthew 28:19-20: "Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo I am with you always unto the end of the world."

From the moment of unveiling the vision, Pastor Bent has diligently and faithfully led us through a vigorous campaign to build the beautiful edifice we now enjoy at 5419 W. Hampton Avenue, Milwaukee. We purchased a quarter acre property with a single family dwelling in 1987. We broke ground September 1991, and started building. The church building was completed in June 1992, and we were able to march in on Sunday, June 14, 1992.

Today, we thank God for everyone and their untiring faith in God which kept this church moving, growing and actively involved in the community. We are thankful and grateful to all of our founding members and for the work that each person has done through the years.

We have come this far by faith, leaning on the Lord. We labored hard and long; yet our work is not finished. It has just begun. Every member of our church family is a significant part of the Lord's ministry, here, at Bethel Tabernacle Worship Center. We are a church deep in our commitment, rich in faith, and strong in hope of the Lord, and endeavor to continue doing a great work as we move forward in the new millennium.

FUTURE....Next phase is to build "The Bethel Family Center" to include a health, fitness and nutrition center, classrooms, computer labs and technical classes in order to effectively compete with professional and technical job demands. The vision continues. "The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow to it." Proverbs 10:22
