Beverly's Books

Credit Policy:

Bring in your gently used books for up to $3.50 store credit per book. Sorry, we do not buy books for cash. We reserve the right to refuse any book in trade, at our discretion.

Once you've acquired store credit, credit can be used to pay for 50% of the price of books purchased, not including tax (in a nutshell: half cash, half credit).

Credit cannot be used for merchandise other than books, or for books from bargain shelves/rooms in the rear of the store selling $1.00 books.

Sales Policy:

Used books will be sold at 60% of original price or less, as marked on the inside of the book. Example: The retail price of a brand-new paperback is generally $7.99 + tax. You'll find the same book at Beverly's Books for $4.80 + tax.

Some exceptions may apply: for example, we have two rooms full of paperbacks for only $1.00 each. We also have great deals on hardback books.

In addition to used books, we sell used audio books (on tape and CD), collectibles, comic books, puzzles, games, knick-knacks, DVDs, VHS tapes, music LPs, CDs, and cassette tapes.

All purchases must be paid in cash (or checks in a pinch); unfortunately, we do not accept credit or debit cards at this time.


***PLEASE NOTE*** The used bookstore in Phelan is no longer Beverly's Books. It has been sold and is under new ownership, and is called Campbell's Books. Although store credit is now separate at both stores, our Wrightwood store still honors any credit acquired at the Phelan store prior to its sale.
