ATTIRE: (SPECIAL INFORMATION FOR HOCKEY PLAYERS)
Skaters are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing such as turtlenecks, sweatpants, etc. Hockey gear is not necessary, as no contact will be made. Correctly fitted hockey skates with properly sharpened blades will aid in students performance. The instructors will be happy to inspect boots and blades for fit and quality of sharpening.

GOAL:
The goal is to introduce beginning skaters to balance, speed, form, flow, agility and power. More advanced skaters will be evaluated on all of the above. Areas of weakness will be corrected and strengthened. We welcome coaches and volunteers to enroll.

INSTRUCTORS:
This program is under the guidance of Heather Wright, Director of Skating. She and her staff have had many years of experience teaching thousands of local skaters. Many youth hockey organizations support not only her hockey skating skill classes, but also basic skills programs available in this area. For example, Biddeford Youth Hockey Association has recommended that all their beginners join one of these programs. There is no question that qualified, professional instruction WILL make a difference in your child's hockey career!
