More about Bifrost Initiative

I am dedicated to helping all people overcome challenges and obstacles to achieve balance in their lives without regard to age, social status or background. Over the course of my life, I have been inspired by those who are able to find balance in their lives and wish to pass these skills along to others. I seek to help others who are looking for ways to find meaning and substance in their lives and in their careers. I believe that often people become trapped in unfulfilling situations and may blame it on external influences, while in reality, the issues are deeper and within their control. I believe coaching is a way to see past the surface realities and break through roadblocks such as a stalled career, family problems or lack of upward mobility. I see coaching as a way to help others achieve personal growth and healthy work/life balance.
I have been trained in coaching and leadership skills and my formal coaching certification is currently pending. In large part, my credentials are my extensive life experience and my proven leadership skills. I have engaged in significant transformational work through self-study, online courses and my work in related non-profit organizations. I have a business certification from an accredited local college and I have also been instrumental in designing and implementing safety standards for various employers. My professional experience has been enhanced through a variety of experiences that have utilized and further developed my leadership and coaching skills. The challenges and sometimes difficult experiences in my own life have given me the ability to effectively motivate and inspire my clients into overcoming the barriers in their lives.
As part of my work experience, it was my responsibility for training others in good safety practices. It was through this that I began to realize my talents and love for coaching others. This passion was furthered through my work with MDI, a non-profit dedicated to helping men find success in their personal and professional lives. I am a current member of the Veteran’s Business Owners Association (“VBOA”), a non-profit organization which trains and mentors veterans in running their own businesses. I am also an ordained Minister of the Universal Life Church. These experiences have been instrumental in inspiring me to grow and move forward in my own business as a Life Coach and I am currently enrolled with the Coach Training Alliance (“CTA”) to obtain my Life Coach Certification.
I am a veteran who served in Desert Storm. Upon my honorable discharge, I returned to my childhood neighborhood in a small town in New Hampshire. I live in a modest home on the beautiful and peaceful Contoocook River. I have a teenage daughter and two sons from previous marriages. I was also the primary caregiver for my elderly grandmother, who suffered from Alzheimer’s and recently passed away at the age of 99. I have two brothers, one of whom is permanently disabled. I believe that my personal experience in parenting, elder care, disability, and some of the problems faced by returning veterans has given me a deeper understanding of and empathy with those experiencing similar life challenges.
