Nearby grocery stores Vons and State Brothers Market: About 1 mile from resort.

Things to do:

There's an incredible array of things to do here besides skiing in the winter. Ride the MARTA, serving Big Bear and the surrounding area. Shop for old-fashioned gifts, crafts, fantastic foods and nostalgic memories in an atmosphere of antiques and blue-grass music at the Bear Mountain Trading Company. A Jeep tour makes for a great introduction to Big Bear's backcountry, and the Miss Liberty offers 90-minute lake tours. Bird enthusiasts should stop by Wild Wings Unlimited for a unique adventure and souvenirs.

This is a timeshare that I own with WorldMark. I do not live in the area, but there's a 24/7 receptionist available to accommodate your needs. As a guest, you'll be asked to authorize a refundable $100 security deposit on a credit or debit card upon check-in. The person listed on the Guest Confirmation must be at least 21 years of age and must present a photo ID.

* There are no elevators at this resort. Upper unit can only be accessed by 13-step staircase.
* The units have no air-conditioning, but do have ceiling fans.

-Bring your own beach towels for the lake.
