Big Creek Lodge Idaho

Historic Big Creek Lodge, on the lip of Idaho’s famous Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness, is so remote it is accessible by bush plane or arduous dirt road. For nearly 75 years, Big Creek Lodge provided sanctuary and safety for travelers, firefighters, sled dog mushers delivering the mail, pilots and outdoor enthusiasts. It has exposed the public to amazing views and wildlife while providing services that are important to those travelling in the backcountry. Sadly, it burned to the ground in 2008. After announcing announcing ambitious plan to rebuild the lodge in 2012, The Idaho Aviation Foundation is nearing completion of this historic lodge--and it guarantees this wonderful asset will be available for public use for generations to come.
