Horse Inspired Growth and Healing (HIGH) and Horse Inspired Psychotherapy (HIP) are our experiential learning and therapy models involving interactive activities with horses. Under the supervision of a certified facilitator and/or a licensed clinician HIGH and HIP offers effective, engaging and non-threatening growth opportunities for individuals of all ages as well as groups, families and couples. HIGH and HIP principles support, validate and nurture the positive, strength based abilities of the participants.
Ideal for youth, adults and families dealing with physical and emotional trauma, addiction, ADHD, eating disorders, Autism, family conflict, learning disabilities, PTSD, and other mental health issues.

Community Partnerships
BIG Heart Ranch partners with local community groups, agencies and schools to provide animal inspired growth and learning programs. Sessions can be scheduled one at a time, weekly, or for a semester.

Corporate Staff Development Get out of the office and into the pasture!!! Whether the goal is boosting morale, team building or decompression, our corporate animal adventures offers a creative, effective and fun way to boost performance, enhance collaboration, and experience new approaches to problem solving and team building.

For BHR, riding is all about relationship! We believe everyone is “able!” FTGU is our integrative, therapeutic riding program where individuals with emotional and physical challenges create a relationship with their horse on the ground first, move up to bareback and then riding with a saddle. Each session is created with the rider, nurturing physical and emotional strength and adaptability. We see riding as a relationship journey that takes horse and human from the ground up to greater physical, emotional and spiritual heights
The ocean view picnic area provides a spectacular setting for parents and partners to relax while sessions take place.
