Tom Nahas, one of the founders and creators of the burgeoning Twisted Taco brand and Rahim Kaba, previous Twisted Taco partner and longtime downtown retailer, along with Mahesh Harjani Atlanta nightlife entrepreneur, owner of The Havana Club, are bringing a new California surf-food and drink concept-“Big Kahuna”- to Suntrust Towers. Big Kahuna will be an innovative and exciting flex casual concept, a fast casual lunch, with full service in the evening. Kahuna is designed for steady corporate growth and franchising.

Big Kahuna brings Southern California surf inspired Baja-mex and classic American food prepared with a coastal flair. The inspiration has been the surf, sun and extreme fun. You may ask: what does surfing have to do with food? Everything! Surfers have always eaten healthy foods but know how to have fun too!

Fresh and innovative taco’s, artesian sandwiches and juicy giant hand packed organic Angus burgers on homemade buns along with fresh creative salads are part of this innovative menu. Big Kahuna strives for healthy, always fresh and deliciously satisfying foods with no trans fat and include sizzling cast iron plates featuring grilled cage free chicken, seared grass fed beef, fresh seafood, ahi tuna and Crab legs, all of which were inspired by the ocean breeze and the crashing surf. To complete the true surf style experience, Big Kahuna offers real California style frozen yogurt with tempting toppings and homemade cinnamon sugar donut holes and daily pies to tempt your taste buds.

Big Kahuna is a fun, innovative and comfortable, yet high-energy environment where Newport Beach is met with Atlanta flair. It will feature a 30-foot bar, multiple 50” flat screens to watch all the games, and outdoor patio seating in admiration of the downtown backdrop.
