My name is Laura Campbell and I want to help you reach your fitness goals. Nothing is more rewarding to me than helping people experience the benefits of health and well-being through personalized training. I truly believe that if you are dedicated and determined your potential is limitless. Together we will develop a training plan that will keep you motivated and committed.

My in-home studio, affectionally known as "The Big Room" offers a private client-based environment to those who prefer a less intimidating and thus more focused workout than the traditional health club setting.

Group exercise classes: I offer group personal training classes with no more than 4 participants at one time. By working in small numbers I can focus on function and form for each participant and track progress with individuals over time. I also believe in the power of the group to help encourage and motivate each other to move far beyond the 'comfort zone'.

Personal Training: I offer one on one personal training to clients who desire individualized attention and motivation. Personal training clients may have racing goals and need a sport-specific training program and diet advice or they may be a client wishing to gain general fitness or perhaps have hit the dreaded 'plateau' and are looking for a new routine. Sometimes, it's a combination of all of these elements that makes it time to seek the advice of a professional personal trainer.

We will sit down together before we begin training to talk about your current activities, diet, lifestyles and of course, what you hope to achieve during our time together.

Once the basics are established, we work together on a training plan that meets your scheduling and lifestyle. The "Training Plan" then becomes your living document that will adapt as you do over time. After all, a training regime will only succeed if it works with your life, not against it.

Health and well-being is a multi-dimensional lifestyle choice and one of the reasons I also offer clients nutritional advice. I am not a Registered Dietician but I do have several years of experimenting with different diets, foods and supplements. I have also grown most of my own food for several years and have helped clients in the past with pantry 'clean-outs', shopping and even starting their own gardens.

I am an avid road and trail runner and have completed several marathons, 50K and 50 mile races. The 2015 season has me focusing on the art of the triathlon. I also enjoy competitive (and non-competitive!) cycling and swimming and chasing around my 4 year-old son, Freeman.
