Since 1990, from its early beginnings in Roseville CA, Big Valley Mortgage and its parent, American Pacific Mortgage, have grown to become one of the largest independent mortgage banking operations in the western states, with 150 offices in 13 states.

Big Valley loan originators have the option of funding their loans through its expansive in-house mortgage banking platform, with the added flexibility of brokering loans when unique products or pricing exceptions are needed. Within the banking platform, Big Valley offers in-house underwriting, funding and closing capabilities for most of the common FHA, VA, and Jumbo and Conventional products, at competitive rates and terms.

More than 90% of Big Valley’s transaction volume is funded through this in-house mortgage banking channel, giving home buyers and agent’s predictable and consistent results.

Michael Pankow serves as General Manager of Big Valley Mortgage, leading the entire Big Valley Mortgage team since 2007. Buzz Howard, who brings his 30-plus years of experience to the team, serves as sales manager for the organization.

Together, Michael and Buzz lead originators by providing an engaging lending platform allowing them to remain competitive in today’s turbulent mortgage industry.

Original principals Kurt Reisig and Dave Mack, who founded Big Valley Mortgage in 1990, actively involve themselves in strategic planning and direction, while spending most of their time managing American Pacific Mortgage’s multi-state mortgage banking platform.
