Back in 1991 a group of bikers knew this biker that had been in an accident. The accident had left the biker in bad shape, good news was he would recover; Bad news was it would take about 3 months and he would not be able to work during that time. This biker had no insurance and was a mile high in debt. The bikers decided to hold a rally and try to help their fiend out. By the time they made flyers and distributed them out and waited to generate enough interest in the biker community their friend had his power cut off, car was broke down with no way to repair it, he was out of food for his family.
To make a long story short the biker lost his car and was evicted from his home by the time a benefit was put together to help him. The Bikers realized that they had to do something to assist their fellow bikers between the time of the emergency and the ability for that biker to help themselves,
That’s how Bikers for Bikers come into being. A rally would be held on the 3rd weekend of each year. This group would be made up of bikers, a board elected by bikers would be formed and guidelines would be drawn up to determine what constituted an emergency situation and how the funds would be distributed. #1. The funds where to be used in emergency situations only, not to be used to help protect a bikers credit report. After 11 years Bikers for Bikers was so successful in helping bikers that a second rally was required in order to keep up with the request this would be the last weekend in October and would be known as the Bikers for Bikers Halloween Rally.
The biker needing the emergency help would contact Bikers for Bikers. 2 board members would be assigned to assess the needs of the biker making the request. (Remember these bikers are elected by bikers attending the April Rally and do not receive any form of monetary assistance. 100% volunteer). If the board member s agree that assistance is needed. Then the president of Bikers for bikers will contact the agency’s that are requiring payment. Bikers for bikers will make the payment directly to the company owed, Items like Electricity, Gas for home use, Rent, mortgage payments, Car payments, FOOD, anything that a biker will need to survive. We can step in and give the biker a cushion until a benefit can be organized to help the bikers to get to the next level. Bikers for Bikers is not a permanent solution, our help is only temporary, and the amount to pay out is regulated by our bank balance, This is the only time we ask for money
Biker must have tried to create income including selling any valuable items that they have accumulated, can’t have boats, RV,3 & 4 wheelers or other item of the same nature that would provide some income. Biker has to be down to last resort.
Bikers for Bikers would hold a Rally each year, whose sole responsibility was to assist bikers in emergency situations, when the wolves are pounding on the door; the power company is just days from cutting off your power, you are about to lose everything, no food to feed your family, and all the other things that can just make your life a living HELL!!! We can help out with things like Wheel Chairs, walkers, hospital beds, crutches. We have lots of donated items to loan out for free

I am not a pro at this in fact none of our Board member are pros. We just want to be able to help our fellow bikers and there families in times of need for emergency help. We don’t advertise the people who need help names or parade them in front of donors to get additional money. Our books are open to review upon request, 100% of all proceeds go directly into the Bikers for Bikers funds. Absolutely no one on the Bikers for Bikers Board receives any monetary reimbursement for their time as a board member. Every person on the board is a volunteer,
