Bikram Yoga Alexandria

Bikram’s Yoga College of India in Alexandria offers the original sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises performed in a room which is heated to an air temperature of approximately 105 degrees Fahrenheit with 40 percent humidity taught exclusively by teachers who have trained with Bikram Choudhury.

The popularity of this therapeutic yoga-series has exploded locally, nationally, and internationally resulting in numerous yoga studios Bikram and non-Bikram in the D.C. area and Bikram’s Yoga Alexandria continues to thrive in this robust and competitive environment under the direction of Jenifer Ruschell. Jenifer trained with Bikram in 2010, after training she taught and practiced this powerful sequence all over the country and the world. In 2013, she joined the teaching team in Alexandria, by early 2014 she was helping to manage the studio, and in September of 2014, Jenifer Ruschell became the humble director and owner of Bikram’s Yoga Alexandria. Since her ownership, the studio has gone through many aesthetic changes, but the yoga remains consistent and strong. As the studio's values of Integrity, authenticity, inclusion, and diversity continue to encourage the Bikram Yoga of Alexandria community.
