Billy Mitchell Model Club

The Billy Mitchell Model Club (BMMC) was established in June of 1986. The name Billy Mitchell was chosen as the club name because of General Billy Mitchell’s Milwaukee, WI roots and also because of our namesake’s sometimes maverick leadership qualities. Club members saw themselves as fitting that image as model builders.

BMMC welcomes all visitors who have an interest in the hobby of model building whether it be cars, ships, planes, armor, science fiction, figures, or other category. Please feel free to drop in on one of our meetings and meet some talented model builders. Our meetings are scheduled on the 2nd Saturday of each month at a local hobby store from about 12:30pm to 3:30pm.

BMMC members will be glad to answer modeling questions, and show the various modeling projects that they have worked on and displayed at the monthly meetings. Visitors who wish to become a BMMC member ($15 per year.) and participate in the model club can expect, but is not limited to:
a) Club THEME months. Each month is a different theme such as Nautical, Fantasy, Horror, TV & Movies, etc.
b) At each meeting, a raffle of 3 model kits is held to raise money for the club’s activities.
c) BMMC holds it’s annual model auction every year in June.
d) BMMC members receive a copy of the club newsletter.
e) Members are encouraged to bring in finished and “in-progress” model projects for show and tell.
