Bits & Bobbins

Hi, I'm Danielle F. Ducrest. I'm a beadwork artist with a side interest in photography. Since 2009, I've been exploring hundreds of designs for beaded jewelry, beaded boxes, beaded magnets, beaded paperweights, and other beadwork pieces. I've discovered so many possibilities already, and I'm still exploring. In beaded jewelry, I enjoy making necklace pendants and earrings, and in 2014, I began to branch out into rings and bracelets.

I'm a bead weaver; this means that I hunt for beads regularly in all sorts of places (craft stores, bead stores, flea markets, thrift stores, farmers markets, garage sales) and weave my finds into intricate or simplistic designs. Most of my work is abstract and one-of-a-kind, and some of it is steampunk-themed. Some of my designs can be replicated for custom orders. I also take custom requests for beaded pieces not found in my shop.

As for photography, I like to go on drives to cure fits of restlessness and take photos of what I find. I enjoy photographing architecture, waterscapes, cityscapes, nature, textures, and naturally occurring abstract designs.

I sell prints of my photographs and beaded jewelry both online and at public venues like arts and crafts fairs, farmers markets and other events.
