Bitton Bistro Cafe is the area's only French cafe. Serving breakfast and lunch daily, the cafe features the area’s only full menu of the popular French pastry, crepes offered in both the savory and sweet varieties.
Michel Bitton and his wife Sylvie opened their Florida Keys French Cafe in August, 2011. After owning a bistro in Old Montreal for 20 years, the Canadian couple moved to Islamorada to escape the Quebec cold.
Bitton Bistro Cafe offers a full menu with items ranging in price from $5 to $15. The savory crepes feature ingredients such as Swiss Gruyere cheese and ham imported from France. If you’re looking for something simple, for example, there’s the crepe Forestiere, featuring ham, mushrooms and Swiss cheese.
Want something a bit more sophisticated? Try the crepe Ocean Side, featuring smoked salmon, chives and goat cheese.
If it’s a sugar high you crave, you’ll be looking to the sweet crepes, also ranging from $5 to $15. At Bitton, you can also create your own crepe! In addition to crepes, the Bistro offers coffee, pastries, soups, salads and the homemade gelato that is consider a Bitton specialty. FREE WI-FI INTERNET!
