Black Hawk County Veteran Affairs

The Commission endeavors to assist honorably discharged Veterans/Dependents by respectfully and judiciously promoting communication, cooperation and education between the Veteran, legislators, and the public and private sector to insure that the needs of the Veteran/Dependents are met. Black Hawk County has a five member Commission appointed by the Black Hawk County Board of Supervisors. An Executive Director or Administrator is appointed by the
Commission to be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this department. A staff of three assists the Director or Administrator in carrying out the daily functions involved in the provision of services to Veterans and dependents.
