Black Wolf Ranch established in 2001, located in St. Ignatius, Montana it is the dream creation of Wendy Tyler and Bret Schlueter who share an affinity for alpacas.
Nestled between the National Bison Range and the Mission Mountains, on the Flathead Indian Reservation, Black Wolf Ranch has built a reputation on commitment to animals and fiber first, then product. Their 70 plus Huacayas and Suris are selectively bred to guarantee luxurious quality yarns stronger, warmer than wool and as fine as cashmere. Wendy and Bret are committed to educating a customer base at the ranch store and through the website. The natural colored and hand painted yarns are available in fine yarn shops throughout Montana and the east coast.
