Blacknall Memorial Presbyterian Church is located in the heart of Durham’s Ninth Street district, near Duke University’s West Campus at the corner of Perry and Iredell Streets. If you’re visiting for the first time, you’ll probably notice we’re a friendly, lively group of people, who long linger in the public spaces to greet each other and catch up on our lives. We gather for worship in a traditional brick sanctuary, but leaven the seriousness of our surroundings with lots of laughter, a weekly children’s message, and spontaneous announcements and prayer requests at the service’s end. And we eagerly learn from a wide array of speakers, including our ministers, Duke Divinity School students, and guest presenters such as visiting missionaries and pastors from around the globe – or just a few blocks away.
