More about Blakeley Bluffs Park Reserve

Blakeley Bluffs Park Reserve is a unique and extensive natural resource asset in the southwest Metro. Located along the Minnesota River in the bluff lands of Scott County, the park reserve is characterized by large areas of continuous forest, stunning viewsheds with western sunsets, dramatic topographic changes, and high quality habitats of note on a regional scale. The site’s extensive ecological value is unique for recreational opportunities and sets it apart as a special place to preserve for future generations to enjoy.

The park is currently in the acquisition stages, and not open for public use at this time. Total park acreage will some day be approximately 2,400 acres. Public use will be contingent on purchasing enough contiguous property to provide trails and other outdoor recreation opportunities, as well as securing development and operating funding.

You can read more information on the planned park reserve, including the park's acquisition master plan, by visiting the web site http://www.co.scott.mn.us/ParksLibraryEnv/parkstrails/Pages/BlakeleyBluffs.aspx.
