Making Problem Skin Pretty Again

When founder Julie Longyear set out to design skincare recipes she approached the task from the mindset of a true beginner. No rules or conventions from mass market skincare were used. Every emulsion system, preservative, and herbal ingredient was tested by hand to ensure complete understanding of what each offered to a final formulation. Instead of using tea tree oil for acne like so many natural product lines use Longyear created a recipe based on rose oil, providing an answer for difficult acne combined with mature skin types. Herbs are potent, but extracts commonly available to the cosmetics industry are often watered-down and generate no results. Longyear also devised her own extraction processes and make sure demanding skin types were getting the supplemental herbal nutrition they need to regenerate. Like the rest of our bodies our skin is often deficient in certain nutrients, each of us a little different from another. By providing these vitamins, essential fatty acids, and other nutrients our skin craves it is like fitting a piece in a puzzle. The skin can maintain itself properly again with targeted nutrition.
