The racial makeup of the city was 94.30% White, 2.08% African American, 1.18% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 1.39% from other races, and 0.90% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.67% of the population.Blossom is part of the Prairiland Independent School District.There were 571 households out of which 34.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.5% were married couples living together, 9.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.7% were non-families. 23.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
