More about Blue Rock Station Annual Reunion

First Annual Old-Fashioned Reunion for Interns and Former Students Blue Rock Station
Weekend of June 27th & 28th (interns are invited to arrive early or stay late)

In 2015 Blue Rock Station will hold the first annual reunion for the folks who have made Blue Rock Station possible. It’s clear that without the hard work, ideas and insights of more then 50 interns (and hundreds of students) since 2004 we would be in a very different situation today. It’s our goal to have a weekend of fun with old-fashioned games, good food, visiting, and then spending some time talking about what you see as the future for sustainability.

If you’re in contact with former interns or students and they haven’t received an invite please let them know that we’ve been trying to reach them. They should get in touch with us to see about updates for the reunion.

ESPECIALLY FOR FORMER INTERNS:
If you’re a former intern and would like to arrive a day or two early, or stay over a day or two, we would enjoy having the time together. If you want to stay in one of the cottages we just need to know your plans. It is first-come-first served, but we have enough room for seven or more guests (depending on the number of 2015 interns and what condition the Earthship master bedroom is in in June). Of course there’s always the option to camp.

WHAT TO BRING:
We’ll have a menu for the weekend and as we get closer to the reunion date we’ll send along the list so you can contribute something from your home region to share. You’re always welcome to bring produce or food to prepare.

Don’t forget “Your good mood”... This is a saying that Nans Thomassey gave to us when we spent the first THANKS FOR NOTHING month trying to figure out how it would work (we completed year four in 2015). Your good mood means bringing along the news of your life, musical instruments, poi, fire works, games and a few good stories. Those are the gifts you’ll bring as our guests.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
If you need a place to stay let us know. We have three cottages, the Peace Porch and camping. Or there is the Three Sisters Inn in McConnelsville OR plenty of bigger hotels in Zanesville. Brenda South might be persuaded to be your host if you’ve stayed with her in the past during your time with us.
