Chatham artist, Jenny Bovey, practices the ancient Japanese art of Gyotaku or fish rubbing. She brushes various colorants over fish, crustaceans, shells & plant life; and then rubs them onto a variety of surfaces. The result is a one of a kind authentic rubbing. Her original fish rubbings are available on t-shirts, beachwear, resort wear, hand dyed silk scarves, shawls, sarongs, ties, home accessories and gallery works. Native critters are all caught by local fishermen.
