Bobbi's HOT MESS Boutique

Opened in 2012 by Amber Wood, she ran the shop mostly catering to everyday wear. Purchasing a formal gown for a friend as a favor, Amber opened a door to a new venture. It wasn't long after, word got out that Hot Mess Boutique was the new place in the Valley for formal wear.
Bobbi came into the picture as a customer and a few purchases later, became a part time employee. Picking up a few hours here and there to help out, Bobbi and Amber while becoming great friends, (With their little boys in tow), ran the shop. Known for fabulous gowns and great customer service, the business boomed.
Needing an in store seem stress, Bobbi took home a first gown and before long was taking home several gowns a week. This went on for about a year and Bobbi was promoted to Manager so, Amber brought in a few shop girls.
Bobbi managing the shop and doing the seem stress work proved to be too much and Andrea came on in 2014 and made life in the shop so much easier!
Mid 2015 Amber decided she wanted to be home with her children and decided to sell. Bobbi wanted to buy the shop but it didn't seem possible at first, but after much prayer and negotiating Bobbi Buckholz bought the shop in July 2015.
Never in her life did Bobbi see herself as a down town business owner. She had loved Down Town Visalia from the time she was a little girl. Watching the lights from the car window and stopping at Thrifty's for ice cream and playing on the red striped slide as a youngster are fond memories. Now she has a chance to share and make new memories with her children.

Bobbi is a mother of 8, wife to Jim Buckholz, Law Officer with Tulare County, an Artist, and now a business owner.
