BoSoma School of Dance

BoSoma School of Dance (BSD), formerly Mass Motion Dance North, has offered quality dance education since 2010 to ages three through eighteen. Owner and Director, Katherine Hooper who is an Essex local, brings her twenty years of teaching experience to Hamilton and Manchester-by-the-Sea, offering a space for students to learn the art and technique of dance, to nurture their passion for dance, and to learn how to think in a creative way. Our dedicated faculty is made up of BoSoma Dance Company dancers and professionals that have achieved or are working towards a degree in dance. BSD’s programs are designed to accommodate all ages and abilities. All students, whether in the recreational or intensive program, will be closely monitored throughout the year to make sure that they are in the appropriate level and program. Our annual program focuses on learning core technique and terminology, challenging the mind/body connection through movement, as well as improvisation and choreography.
