A central focus of Teen Challenge is the voluntary, long term (15 month) residential recovery program that provides the context for a transformational experience during which the students find freedom from their addictions. While they are enrolled in the recovery program, they earn General Equivalency Diplomas (if they are not high school graduates); have service opportunities learning job and life skills that will help them become productive citizens: serve their communities through their lives and are surrounded by a nurturing environment that fosters caring relationships.
