Built in 1949, and completely renovated in 2000, Bradley Observatory is home to classrooms, faculty offices, student research space, a 70 seat planetarium, a 30" reflecting telescope, and an atmospheric sensing (LIDAR) facility. Agnes Scott College is also a member of the SARA (Southeastern Association for Research in Astronomy) consortium that operates two telescopes, one in the northern hemisphere (Kitt Peak, AZ) and one in the southern hemisphere (Cerro Tololo, Chile).
