Bread of Life Outreach

The main focus of the Bread of Life Outreach (BOLO) is to go beyond the usual bag of food and a handshake. BOLO strives to demonstrate God's love through the redeeming power of Jesus Christ by meeting the spiritual, as well as the practical needs of those in our Perry County community and beyond our borders. To date, BOLO has distributed over 33,997.55 tons of product worth $118,991,454.75 at salvage rate. Currently, God enables BOLO to bless 1,665 families with hope through the provision of products, spiritual resources and special events. BOLO staff and volunteers distribute resources from two locations. The primary monthly distribution service is held at the Family Life Center on Shortcut Rd. on the second Saturday of each month. Additional hours are available at the Front St. warehouse building on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to meet needs such as diapers, formula, cleaning supplies, health and beauty products and over the counter medicines. Frozen food distributions are held as announced, usually monthly. In addition, life skills assistance and spiritual mentoring are available to recipients as requested.
