More about Brent Winston Horsemanship

Horseman, clinician, and cowboy poet Brent Winston has dedicated the better part of his life to the horse. His life dream and passion is helping people help their horses. In pursuit of this dream, Brent studied as an apprentice to such great horseman as Johnny Leverett, Ray Hunt, and a great deal of other legendary horseman. The Peyton Colorado bred cowboy started Brent Winston Horsemanship in 2007, offering colt starting, training for older and troubled horses, reining, cow horse, roping, lessons, clinics, and much more, with the motto being “Partnership in Action”. He is perhaps one of the most versatile horseman in the region; never turning away a horse, for any reason. Brent has been trusted time and again to do the right thing by the horse due to his caring, honest, down to earth, dependable work ethic. He believes that each and every horse is special, and no matter what kind of saddle you put on, good horsemanship is good horsemanship. Brent has competed in the Extreme Mustang Makeover three times, taking wild horses from being untouched to a competitive, adoptable state in ninety days, becoming a finalist on his 2011 horse Sham. Sham and Brent were featured in September’s “Love to Own” section of Horse and Rider magazine. Brent plans to continue growing his business and improving the relationships between horses and their humans at his new and expanded school of “Brent Winston Horsemanship” in Franktown, Colorado beginning November 1st, 2011.
