Brian Mills, Retirement Planning Specialist

Upon graduating from Siena College in 2002, with a B.S. in Finance, Brian quickly joined the financial services business in March 2003 as an associate with AXA Advisors. Through specializing in Retirement Planning for non-profit employees as a member of AXA’s Retirement Benefits Group, Brian quickly achieved membership into the Prestigious Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) in 2005 and has maintained membership every year since. Also, in 2013 Brian earned a certificate in retirement planning from the prestigious Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and earned the title of Retirement Planning Specialist.

During the past several years Brian’s practice has evolved into a business which serves over 500 families, and works primarily with public sector employees who are within five years of retirement and are in the process of evaluating their 403 (b), 457, and IRA plans as well as evaluating their defined benefit pension plan payout options. Other types of individuals that Brian assists with retirement planning for young corporate executives, corporate employees which may be in job transition, as well as business owners looking protect the assets which they have saved over the years.

As a client relationship develops, the respective client typically realizes that they are not just working with a broker, but rather an advisor that is gradually evaluating their insurance needs, college planning strategies, and asset allocation strategies as well. Though realizing that it is not possible to be an expert in all areas of personal finance, Brian has built a network of other professionals which provide valuable advice as well.
