Cooperative Education at BCC combines relevant on-the-job experience with classroom learning. In Co-op, students earn academic credit as well as build résumé experience through a practical and comprehensive educational experience. This program enhances students' academic experience, teaches them life-long career development skills, provides career access into the labor market, and helps the region in its economic and human resource development efforts.
In short: Co-op is great for students and great for the local workforce.
Any student who has completed at least 27 credits in their program of study and has maintained a 2.5 grade point average is eligible for Co-op. Students who do not meet the requirements but wish to participate must request special permission from the Co-op Director. All majors are welcome.
