British Dancing Academy

The British Dancing Academy has been providing fun, yet professional classes in the Western Washington area for over 40 years!

Our goal is to provide exceptionally high quality training to our students, ages 3 ½ through adult, in Creative Movement, Classical Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern Theater. The dedicated teachers and staff strive to instill creativity and personal growth in each dancer while maintaining traditional technique and strong performance skills. The BDA’s examination program is internationally recognized and builds each dancer’s confidence through determination and professionalism.

Our students have the wonderful opportunity to perform in our full June stage production at Highline Performing Arts Center each year, a magical time for all involved. Our senior dancers also perform at their special Holiday Showcase in December, as well as at area rest homes, and have the opportunity to attend dancing conventions from New York and L.A., working closely with many top choreographers in the country.

British Dancing Academy has two locations: 18403 East Valley Highway in Kent (near IKEA and the Great Wall Shopping Mall) and at 1500 S. 336th Street in Federal Way (just West of the Dance Collection shop).
